# Directions:

01 - Set the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
02 - Steam or blanch broccoli florets in boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes until tender and bright green, then drain and set aside.
03 - In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook while whisking continuously for 1 minute.
04 - Gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth, cooking for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
05 - Add Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper; stir well and remove from heat.
06 - Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
07 - In a large bowl, mix the cooked chicken, blanched broccoli, and cheese sauce thoroughly.
08 - Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
09 - Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
10 - Toss panko breadcrumbs with olive oil and optional red pepper flakes in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the casserole.
