08 - 32 slices pepperoni or vegetarian pepperoni

11 - 1/4 cup honey
12 - 1 to 2 teaspoons hot sauce, to taste

13 - 4 Italian-style burger buns
14 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
15 - Fresh basil leaves (optional)
# Directions:
01 - Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and shape into 4 even patties.
03 - Grill or sear the patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness is reached.
04 - Warm the honey over low heat in a small saucepan and stir in the hot sauce. Remove from heat and set aside.
05 - Brush burger buns lightly with olive oil and toast on the grill or in the oven until golden.
06 - During the final 2 minutes of cooking, top each patty with pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, red onion, and green bell pepper. Cover briefly to allow the cheese to melt.
07 - Set each patty on a toasted bun, drizzle hot honey over the top, garnish with fresh basil as desired, and serve immediately.
