# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes light and refreshing, not like you're drinking grass clippings (a genuine concern with green smoothies, I know).
  • Five minutes from fridge to glass means you can actually do this on a busy morning without stress.
  • The chia seeds add a subtle nuttiness and keep you satisfied way longer than you'd expect.
02 -
  • Don't let the spinach and romaine sit in water beforehand or they'll turn into slime; only rinse right before blending.
  • If your blender struggles or sounds angry, you've probably added too much liquid at the start—the greens and frozen banana do need a moment to break down first.
03 -
  • Freeze banana slices in advance in small batches so you always have them ready; it takes the thinking out of mornings.
  • Keep your mint leaves whole until blending—once torn, they oxidize and lose that bright, clean taste you're after.
